About MacHeist
Directorate
The following outlaws are guilty of stealing away all your free time with fiendishly difficult puzzles, free Mac apps, and the best deal in Mac software.
John “johnred” Casasanta, Boss
Casasanta has spent most of his life on the development side of software. That’s until 2006 when he decided to delve into the shadier side of things. He’s responsible for the idea that stemmed into MacHeist as you see it today. Although often accused of sitting around and not doing much by the rest of the team, Casasanta’s responsible for creating the MacHeist missions along with his accomplice, Meinzer.
Phill Ryu, Big Brother
Approached by John with the original idea for the MacHeist event, Phill’s job has involved developer relations, web production, and writing for the missions, along with the often mysterious art of generating ‘buzz’. Phill is generally known within the Mac community as the public face of MacHeist.
Scott Meinzer, That Other Guy
Having moved up through the ranks from a lowly web programer, Scott has become a key part of the MacHeist team. When he isn’t working on that “code stuff”, or missions (usually minutes before they come out), he can be found eating Wonka Laffy Taffy.
